My name is Jean, and I’m a software and AI engineer dedicated to building accessible AI tools for underserved communities and under-resourced languages.

I am applying for a GPU grant to support my current project: developing performant, orchestrated voice-to-voice agents using open-source, small-scale models. This system connects Speech-to-Text (STT), a Language Model (LLM), and Text-to-Speech (TTS) in a streamlined pipeline that prioritizes privacy, performance, and affordability.

The goal is to demonstrate how businesses—especially those in sensitive or resource-constrained environments—can leverage small, efficient models without sacrificing user privacy or relying on massive, proprietary infrastructure. This work aims to empower more people and organizations to integrate voice AI solutions that are practical, secure, and customizable.
