Looking for tips on generating lens obstructions like mud or water in inpainted areas
I'm experimenting with inpainting workflows and trying to generate images where the masked areas appear as if they're covered in mud splatters, dirt smudges, or water droplets on a camera lens.
So far, I'm struggling to get realistic results โ the models tend to default to clean, sharp completions, which makes sense given their training. I've tried various prompts and inpainting settings, but haven't been able to reliably produce the kind of gritty, lens-obstructed effect I'm after.
Eventually, Iโd like to build a set of style augmentations like this โ muddy lens, wet lens, dusty lens, etc.
Has anyone had success with this kind of effect? Would love any advice on techniques, LoRA/training, or workflows (ComfyUI, diffusers, etc.) that could steer generation toward more realistic lens obstructions.
